The fumigation exercise carried out on the university premises help in making staying more safer for both staffs and studentsGovernment, through the Ghana Education Service (GES) is set to embark on a fumigation exercise in Senior High Schools (SHS), Technical and Vocational Education and Training Schools (TVETS) across the country.
The Service is contracting Zoomlion Company Limited to help in the nationwide initiative.
Head of Public Relations at the Education Ministry, Ekow Assifuah, told Myjoyonline.com in an interview that, this development is in line with efforts by the country to counter the spread of the novel coronavirus in Ghana.
Government has over the past weeks, undertaken similar exercises in major and satellite markets across the country. Ministries and other government departments have also not been left out.
The programme scheduled to begin on April 14, 2020 includes “private, public and special schools” at the second-cycle leve0, he added.
Mr. Assifuah encouraged heads of the schools to “cooperate with Zoomlion by opening up their schools for the exercise to go on successfully.”
