DEPARTMENT OF NURSING

REGISTERED GENERAL NURSING (RGN) (DIPLOMA):

Duration: Three (3) years

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

  • Applicants with SSSCE certificatesmust have total aggregate of twenty-four (24) or better in six (6) subjects, comprising: A – D in all THREE CORE SUBJECTS- i.e. English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science and AT LEAST Credit in (3) Elective subjects in any of the following options (See Table Below):
  • Applicants with WASSCE Certificatesmust obtain a minimum of six (6) Credit Passes (i.e. A1 –C6) in three (3) Core subjects and three (3) Elective subjects (See Table Below) with a total aggregate of Thirty Six (36) or better.

  1. MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGY (HND)

Duration: Three (3) years

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

  • Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE)

Grade D or better in three (3) core subjects (English Language, Mathematics (Core), Integrated Science or Social Studies) and two (2) elective subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Elective Maths.

  • West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)

Grade C6 or better in three (3) core subjects (English Language, Mathematics (Core), Integrated Science or Social Studies) and two (2) elective subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Elective Maths.

  1. MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN (DIPLOMA)

Duration: Two (2) years OND

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

  • Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE)

Grade E or better in three (3) core subjects (English Language, Mathematics (Core), Integrated Science or Social Studies) and any three (3) elective subjects.

  • West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)

Grade E8 or better in three (3) core subjects (English Language, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science and any three (3) elective subjects.
